Ptfe should pay attention to the maximum working temperature of the adhesive when bonding

Polytetrafluoroethylene is not as elastic and compressible as rubber and tends to flow or even break under high loads.

When loading is higher than 3 MPa, residual deformation is generated, and when loading is at about 20 MPa, it will be crushed.

Therefore, PTFE is generally only used as gasket material with groove flange, and the load does not exceed 3.5mpa.

Teflon has good electrical insulation properties.

Its resistivity is very high, the dielectric loss is very low, and because PTFE does not absorb and absorb water vapor (neither does it absorb water or be soaked by water), surface resistivity is still very high even at 100% relative humidity.

This property, as well as its resistance to flying arcs, makes ptfe particularly suitable for all applications requiring insulation.

Polytetrafluoroethylene is chemically stable, which is better than any other elastic plastic material.

It does not react with all known acids and bases, including the three strong acids and hydrofluoric acids.

PTFE is not dampened and does not dissolve in any known solvent (but soluble in molten alkali metals).

Ptfe nonflammable, nontoxic, only when the heating temperature higher than 400 ℃ can emit toxic gases.

Due to its inert nature, PTFE can only be glued in a special way.
