The use and composition of PTFE pipe

PTFE pipes are generally used in various fluid transportation and fuel pipelines with high corrosion resistance requirements. The PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene pipe consists of three parts: one is the inner pipe (straight pipe) pushed by the polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion resin, and the other is the braided reinforcement layer of stainless steel wire or other fibers outside the polytetrafluoroethylene inner pipe. The third is to crimp the metal joints at both ends of the pipe for connection.

Usually, the inner diameter of the PTFE pipe is from Φ6 to Φ50mm, the pressure-resistant pipe is called medium-pressure pipe, and the pressure-resistant pipe is called high-pressure pipe with pressure resistance of 21MPa.

The use of PTFE pipes is to transmit corrosive liquids or gases, such as the transportation of hydraulic fluid and fuel in the aerospace industry; the transmission of high-pressure air, fuel and hydraulic pressure in the automotive industry; the transportation of chemical industry steam, acid-base organic matter, etc. ; Transportation of high-purity fluids in the pharmaceutical industry, etc. Because PTFE has the advantages of high and low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, high insulation and non-stickiness in plastics, pressure hoses processed from PTFE are increasingly used in advanced industrial sectors such as aerospace. favor.

The quality of the PTFE pipe is determined by the PTFE inner pipe, the braided reinforcement layer and the metal joint. Any problem with any of them will cause the PTFE pipe to leak or even rupture and fail.
